Project Next Generation
Six Mile Community Voices Project
a Project Next Generation Grant – February 2018 through April 2018
The “Six Mile Community Voices Project” workshops begin February 10th.
We are looking for 30-40 local youth and 10-12 local veterans to participate in this project.
If you are interested, contact Kate at [email protected] or call 618-452-6238 ext. 755.
With this Project Next Generation Grant, we are developing a series of filmmaking activities and workshops for youth ages 10-14. The end projects will be two short films; an interview with a local veteran and a documentary piece on growing up in our community. Finished interviews and films will be shown as a community event and will be archived at Six Mile Regional Library District. Veteran interviews will be submitted to the Illinois Digital Archives and the Library of Congress Veterans History Project.
