The Library offers ebooks, emagazines, and downloadable eaudiobooks from three vendors: Cloud Library (ebooks and eaudiobooks), RBDigital (ebook, eaudiobooks and emagazines), and Tumblebooks (animated, talking picture books). Specifics for are included below.  eBooks and eAudiobooks “check out” like regular library materials. You borrow them for a period of time, often 21 days, but digital items don’t earn overdue fees—when they are due back, they simply leave your device and become available for the next interested patron. Once downloaded eMagazines are yours to keep.

Cloud Library

Checking out e-books and e-audio books with Cloud Library & Polaris couldn’t be easier!  Be sure to choose “Illinois Heartland Library System” as your library.

Using the SHARE Catalog to Borrow Cloud Library eBooks

Step One: Download the app for your device and log into your library account. You can find links to all of the apps at yourcloudlibrary.com.

Step Two: Log in by selecting Illinois Heartland Library System as your library and entering your library card number and pin.

Step Three: Browse the collection, check out a book, or place a hold.

Step Four: Enjoy the Cloud Library!

RBDigital

OneClickdigital and Zinio for Libraries have combined into RBDigital, an app that will allow you to checkout, listen, and read all your titles from the same platform.

On June 27, 2017,RBDigital was sent to your device via an update to your OneClickdigital app. If you have automatic updates, you will not need to do anything.  If you have manual updates turned on, you will still be able to use OneClickdigital for the foreseeable future.

The Zinio for Libraries app was updated on or around July 10, 2017.
However after September 8, 2017, emagazines are only be available via the RBDigital app.

Be sure to choose “Illinois Heartland Library System” as your library.

TumbleBooks

Tumblebooks contains hundreds of animated stories that have music, sound and narration. Users can choose to read the text or have the stories read to them.

AudioBookCloud: Listen online to audio books in many different categories: fiction, non-fiction, classics and even Spanish language audiobooks!

Tumblebooks Library: Calling all Kids! Enjoy storybooks, read-alongs and language learning with full animation. For iPad users, checkout the new iPad Books collection under story books. The french version (BiblioEnfants) is also available here.

TumbleBookCloud: is an online collection of read-along titles for elementary, middle school, and high school students which features adjustable online text and complete audio narration. The collection features chapter books, early readers, YA/Teen Novels.

TumbleBookCloud JR: contains early reader chapter books, children’s classics, graphic novels, children’s audiobooks and new National Geographic videos for elementary school aged readers.
