Are you a self-starter who enjoys helping people? Do you have experience providing research services in a public library that embraces change? If so, you might be just the person for us. The primary responsibilities for these positions are to staff the research (reference) desk, participate in programs and services, collection development, and make recommendations to further our goals and enhance our role in the community. Qualifications include a Master of Library Science degree from an ALA accredited university and a minimum of two years of reference experience at a public library after receiving the MLS.
The full time Research and Instruction Librarian will work 40 hours a week at our Johnson Road location. The Temporary Research and Instruction Librarian works as an independent contractor that periodically works at either of our two locations when full time staff is unavailable due to vacations, etc.
